Smart Plans - Multi Planner App Reviews

Admittedly I had not been using this app before but after this update (on iOS 5.1, iPad) it just crashes immediately on launch. It wont even start before crashing. Note: uninstalled and reinstalled the app and now its working as intended. Do not just update.

Another great app from left coast. Great funtionality and easy to use and good integration with other apps.

This is really good if you have multiple projects going at once

Ive had this for two years. Theyve added a bunch of project management features like milestones (with nifty alerts) and you can link one project to another for dependencies. I like the way I can put the Milestones into the top part of my iPad Calendar, which I share with other people. It also puts tasks into a specific time (you cant change the time afterwards) but at least I can see that level of detail in my calendar. Bottom line: this is a great app for someone who has to juggle multiple projects, but keep in mind its not for team projects, it doesnt have a sharing feature. I tried the "Projects" thing in Outlook and it never really worked for me. Ive been looking for a way to manage projects and somehow combine them with all the other stuff I have to do. I think Ive found it. It puts the Milestones into my iCal so I can see where Im supposed to be. The Tasks get put into specific time slots and sometimes that overlaps with other appointments, so Ive disabled that feature but instead, I sync the tasks over to Toodledo then they get syncd into SmartPad as tasks so I can put them right into my list with my to dos.

Just downloaded the new version. The two most important things for me are the new cascading details in the gantt chart, and the sync with iCal. Brilliant. Now I only wish I could share projects with other team members. They can see it in iCal if I share the calendars, so thats a start. Should also mention their customer service is good, with live chat.

I like how SmartPad schedules time for tasks in-between appointments in the calendar. And I like how SmartPlans allows me to manage multiple plans. Both are an effective use of inventiveness and practical needs. Now they just need to merge these two apps together. Nigglies: SmartPlans needs to have collaboration with other people.

I loved this little app. I use it to organize projects and plan them out in a time-line, then I drop those projects into SmartPad via Toodledo. And I take the tasks with me on SmartCal. And Ive got the milestones on iCal from which I can share calendars with my family (for personal projects) and co-workers (for work stuff). Its still just for personal projects; Ill give another star when they get team sharing up and going.

The "Smart" apps are a cut above the rest. This app does everything and more ! A Must have in my book!!!!

Ive used a few other planning programs and Smart Plans is the most intuitive to use. I also use this developers other Apps (Smart Notes & Smart Pad).

The idea seems very relevant. I am not yet very adept at using SmartPlans but it seems that it could be very useful as I understand how to use it.

I am a graphic designer, and i love the beauty of the interface, and I also love the powerful features. On top of that, it is easy to use and figure out.

This is a neat app - one that follows in the successful path of Notes and Smart Pad - putting everything in one place and connecting your iPad with your iCal. Easy planning and tracking results - what more could one ask for? Great, visual program.

If organization is key to your success in business and in life, you need to check out this app. No matter how many projects you may have in the works, Smartplans will help you keep them organized and on track. When this program is able to sync with their other apps in the near future, it will become even more accessible. Thanks Left Coast!

The integration with other "Smart" Apps is great. I am currently using SmartCal, SmartNotes, SmartPlan, and SmartTime on my iPhone and iPad. The integration between all apps and ical is great.

SmartPlans builds on the Smart Apps system by adding an easy to use, simple project planning tool. I like how tracking progress is easy, colors are customizable, and data entry is fast. The open structure allows for nearly infinite customizability. Now that they have announced a desktop sync this becomes the killer app! Great job Left Coast Logic! Keep up the good work!

I just download this app and it is great. Ive been looking for an app to use to track multiple projects and this app does that. I also use this developers other app SmartPad which is the best calendar/task app in the app store.

Im using Smart Plans for several consulting projects that overlap with deliverable tasks. SP is easy to view on my iPhone, easy to edit on my iPad, and is helping me stay on track. I enjoy using other Left Coast Logic apps as well.
